Founder & Owner

Mike Wiley Jr


Mike is a licensed therapist in the states of Illinois and Georgia with over 12 years experience in the counseling and mental health field. Prior to founding MadeMind, he was the Director of Mental Performance for the NFL’s Chicago Bears and worked in private practice as a licensed therapist in downtown Chicago.

He’s professionally trained in clinical mental health counseling as a therapist, as well as sport and performance psychology as a mental performance coach for elite performers.

Mike’s worked with clients in a myriad of environments from traditional office buildings to NFL football fields, NBA and NCAA basketball courts, and other “live action” settings. He believes mental health is a pillar to overall wellness, and that, since life is dynamic, our approach to managing it must be as well.

MadeMind is the natural extension of Mike’s career path as a helping professional, and on a personal note, an intentional progression further into his roles as active “Twin Girl Dad” and husband. While previous jobs often required significant travel, private practice has allowed Mike to spend more time at home with his family.

Outside work, Mike enjoys sports of all kinds, working out, playing with his kids, learning new spiritual systems from around the world, and traveling with his family. So far, he’s traveled to every region and over half the states in the USA and stepped foot on five different continents (North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe), vacationing in four of them. He hasn’t figured out a reason to go to Australia yet!
